Limewire Doesn't Work Anymore On My Mac !!!

Hi guys, I recently joined this forum and really need help !!

A couple of months ago I got a new Mac and I downloaded LimeWire (5.1.1), everything worked quite well until a few days ago when LM just frozed up.

Now when I click on the LM icon nothing happens... I tried to remove the application from my Mac and installed a new version but it didn't work.

I think it is important to mention that I have downloaded every single apple software update available, would it be possible that one of these updates blocked LimeWire? If not, please let me know...

Chapino.

Your Pro benefits need to be current. If your Pro benefits have expired (ie you're not eligible for free support or updates) then you'll have to use the basic version unless you buy Pro again.

If your Pro benefits are current, use your personal download link.
On the Pro download page, you'll see Pro Beta Releases. If you haven't bookmarked your personal download link, go back to the original email that you recieved from LimeWire, after buying Pro... that will have a link:)
And if you haven't saved that email, go here & enter the email address that you used to buy Pro: LimeWire PRO Lookup - Lime Wire

To simply show where to find the Beta link on the Pro page: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/345055-post6.html

However, LW were fast to react to the Java issue & LW 5.14 has been released which now fixes the problem. But you may prefer continuing to use the Beta in meantime since it has some nice improvements. :)

That didn't work for me, it's doing the exact same thing. Is it possible that the new version isn't really updating? It feels like even when I download the new version, whenever I click on Limewire the old version is all I'm dealing with. Anyone else have this problem?

You are using LW 5.1.3 right? Download either the 5.1.4 update or the beta version & it should work again. :)

I have an iMac Intel 2.8 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 2 GB memory. I downloaded PRO for $14 bucks. It was working fine. I did the Apple updates now I get the single dock bounce and it never starts. So in less than a month my $13 program is canned, no updates and I have to use a Pro-less version or pay MORE money. To make matters worse, I can't find my personal link from my download file. Can someone help?

Seems like a complete RIP OFF.

Bleh! ... send a personal message to limenathan (click on link) & explain your situation. That's really poor luck. You purchased the once only download with no support or updates. Explain that you were stuck with the LW 5.1.3 version & after less than a month after purchase, an ox update stopped it from working. I doubt they will not assist in this scenario. ;)

I'm not sure how it works when you purchase the once only version. But if you can download the Beta & 4.18 versions as well as 5.1.4 so then you can try out the beta & see what you think of it. It has some nice improvements. :) Someone suggested to me that you have 24 hours opportunity to download your software.
