Downloading Files Issue.

Just installed Limewire on my new Macbook 10.5.6 all is ok except when dowloading files it keeps adding the file before I've selected
(share file, number appears in the green icon box) It also adds the file title twice to the (view my shared files) I've been in to preferences but can't seem to solve the issue.

It is my guess you have iTunes option set to yes to import into. So you are getting two copies of each because iTunes is copying each one that is downloaded. And you are sharing a portion at least of your iTunes Music Library.

Personally I only share particular portions of my iTunes library such as particular albums or artists because my iTunes library is so large. (I still share almost 10,000 files however.)

Depends how you wish to do it. More than one way.

Personally I do not share my downloads. I have my own set of shares. So in that way I am not sharing a file twice.

Go to LW's preferences -> My Files, uncheck option "Add files I download from P2P Users to my Public Shared List."

Any files or folders you wish to share you can simply drag & drop them onto the Public Shared icon on left side of LW. They will automatically be shared then. You could potentially do that for the entire iTunes Music Library if you wished. Make sure you are sharing files.

i seemed to of solved the issue, went in to LW preferences de-selected add downloaded files to iTunes library. Now files are not added twice but only once, thanks for your support.
