osx download Iv'e downloaded lime wire pro for my Imac osx. when i click on the icon it says: ( chinese imput method plugin in current user library ) what and wher is this |
That sounds... weird. But possibly directly related to a problem I came across a while ago. Could you try selecting the Limewire installer icon and choosing Show Info from the File menu? Does the Show Info window report that the selected item is actually an application? If not, try using that Show Info window to rename the downloaded item: put ".app" (without the quotes) at the end of the filename, and confirm if you're asked when you close the window. In certain circumstances (item with same name in Stuffit Expander's destination target folder) the unstuffed application isn't created as one. Fortunately the cure for this seems to be simply my instructions above. Good luck! (Adam? Any chance of putting the version number, even without periods, in the download file name? That way if someone still has an older installer in their Downloads folder the new one won't fall foul of this Stuffit Expander glitch.)
