Downloads slow to 0 KB then stall for good

Duel 500 G4, OS 9.2.2, latest v. LW Pro installed. Same problem I've had with previous versions. Downloads rock and roll for an hour or so, then slow to 0 KB and stick there. Have to quit LW, start over. There has got to be an obvious easy fix since I don't see this posted. It seems unlikely that all the folks I'm downloading from have booted me off at the same time!

Also, why can't I cut and paste names from Incomplete into Search? Sure make it easier to resume after a quit.

Go ahead and press apple shift 4 ~ press the caps lock ~ ur cursor will turn into a circle and click on the lw window. It takes a picture of it and puts it in ur hd folder. After u hav done that, quit lw & get back into it. Get the pic out of ur hd & type in the exact name of the file etc. and download it from the same host ip number. After u do that it should start off @ the same place u left. My best wishes.

P.S. Sorry I wasn't any help on fixing the bug.

I thinks this should b a sticky ~ (ahem) ~ moderator ~ (ahem) ~ for my lw 1.8 this works but i did notice that if u try to do this on the new version it doesn't work and it pissed me off lol. But on 1.8 as long as u find the right exact name w/the exact file size it continues. this also works for incompleted files that u hav in ur folder. I recommend that when ur dl big files u take pictures so if u lose connection & host leaves u can try to continue whenever he gets back on or some host has the same requirements for u to resume where u left off.
