Default When I use Finder Menu I crash

When I try to change between different apps and Limewire, Lime Wire will crash reporting that an error type "2" has occurred. I am using Mac OS 9.2.2. I can't believe this isn't a big problem out here. It's happened on both Macs I've installed Lime on. Can someone please help! It reccomends my restarting my computer, which I sometimes don't have the opportunity to do. The biggest problem that seems to occur is the extended menus off the Apple menu do not sho to their sub menus.

Angry Yup -- this error type 2 problem SUCKS

Yes -- i have the same exact problem with every version of Limewire and on all Macs. This MUST be widespread. I cannot believe they have not dealt with it yet. ~jim

Unhappy Me too!!!!

I run OS 9.1 and this also happens to me some of the time. How annoying. While I'm posting a reply how do you open a .dmg (disk image) file? Can someone email me with an answer at guylaineana@ringlandenterprises.com

"The biggest problem that seems to occur is the extended menus off the Apple menu do not sho to their sub menus."

First of all, this has nothing to do with Limewire. Your Apple Menu preferences file has probably become corrupt. Find the "Apple Menu Preferences" file in your System Folder->Preferences folder. Trash that file and then open the Apple Menu options control panel and set the options to your liking. This should fix the problem.

As for type 2 errors, this is a memory (RAM) related error. Allocate more memory to the LimeWire application before you launch it. I'd recommend at least 60 MB if you can afford to do so. You can also get this kind of error if an application's preference file becomes corrupt. I'm not sure where LimeWire saves its preferences file, if any, in OS 9 as I haven't used OS 9 in a while.

Hope this helps....
