RealVideo Decoder 1.0 mp3 files??? I just started using Limewire. I have a G4 running OS 8.6. I have used Napster and Mactella in the past without problems. However, it seems that whenever I download an *audio* mp3 file using Limewire, about 9 out of 10 downloads come in a format called "RealVideo Decoder 1.0". None of my mp3 players (Soundjam, Quicktime) can open these files. I notice that I have a Library file in my extensions folder called "RealVideo Decoder 1.0", but that does nothing to help. So, my questions are: 1. Why do a vast majority of the mp3 audio files I download from Limewire come in the RealVideo Decoder 1.0 format? 2. How do I open these files? 3. If the answer to (2) is "You can't", is there a way to specify (on Limewire) that I want to receive "generic" mp3 files or Quicktime files only? HELP! Thanks, Robert |
