Help me please, I'm new to Limewire and Forums !

I'm on a G3, cable connection, took one hour to download a 55MB video file,
now I see it in my preferences/shared folder, but the name is so long I can't see the file format and when I click on it, it opens Limewire but I don't see it anywhere and can't figure out how to play it.

I:confused:

I was able to find the file and see it has a .asf extension,
but still won't open with Quicktime, what should I open it with?
I see it in the Limewire library, but what do I do? Launch does nothing!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but:
.asf (Advanced Streaming Format) is Microsoft's streaming format. I think you can play these files with Windows Media Player. There's a Mac version of WMP downloadable from:
http://download.com.com/3000-2200-10...ml?legacy=cnet
If you are on OS X there's one for it as well (I don't remember where you can DL from , but you can always Google it).

But the bottom line is that you can't guarantee whether you can play the files you DL. Sometimes the file's corrupt, and especially with .asf chances are you can open them only if you're using Windows.

Good Luck.

BTW, I just found an informative site which briefly explains a lot of file formats (e.g. .asf, .exe, .mp3, etc.) if you need further help with these.

BTW #2, lovely smile, my dear.
