Problems Downloading 2.4

I've been trying for the last hour or so to download the new version 2.4 Everytime I do, the installer comes through fine. When I try to open it, however, I get a file corrupted message. Something about the zip archive contained in the file being corrupt. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas?

Where are you downloading it from?

www.limewire.com I didn't know there were other download locations avaliable. I'm willing to try them if you think it will help.

I'm using Limewire 2.4.4 (both Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.x versions) and I've noticed that Limewire for Mac OS X will not unstuff in OS 9 and vice versa.I'm sure you're capable of selecting the correct version of Limewire for your system, but you may accidentally have clicked on the wrong one, in which case it won't unstuff.

Also, if you have Stuffit Deluxe installed, some files may fail to unstuff correctly when you double click on them, although they will often unstuff correctly if you drag them to the standard Stuffit Expander.

Finally, on some occasions, my dialup connection suffers amphetamine overdoses and thinks it can do sustained transfers at 10-11k per second (although it has a physical limit of about 7k/sec for a standard V90 modem). Not surprisingly, these files don't work and give errors when I try to unstuff them. So, if your on a dialup connection, make sure the transfer is happening at a realistic rate as some servers may try to send a file faster than you can receive it (don't ask me why).

I hope these suggestions are of some use.

just make sure that you open the installer with stuffit expander, NOT stuffit deluxe. i had the same problem, but only when i double clicked the installer. when i dragged onto stuffit expander it worked fine.
