Can't Share Files Via Upload I have numerous files in my shared folder, and have tried to enable everything possible to share them, but people I know try searching and never come up with items that I am sharing. I even try giving them unique titles so that files can be searched for specifically, but no luck. What could I be doing wrong? |
Same deal I just joined the forums to find out the same thing. I am behind a NAT router, but I do have forced IP enabled in Limewire and on my router, port 6346 forwarded to this Mac. Versions of Limewire up to 2.0 worke fine. People can grab my files without any problems. Version 2.0 and later doesn't work. So what's the deal? Are there other undocumented ports that need to be forwarded? Did uploading in 2.X Mac get broken, and nobody has complained? |
(Can't Share Files) HOW TO LENGTHEN NAMES? 1/ A previous post said all shared files must end with 3-character suffix. (IE: .mp3) It seemed to suggest that shared files in an internal folder would then be shared also. |
Don't think that's it. All the files in my shared folder end in .sit Unless they are ignoring that suffix, I can't imagine that would be the problem. |
no one can upload! I'm having the same problem! What the hell is wrong? |
check out thelimewire beta program --a few of us on OSX are talking about a similar topic. Maybe you'll find some ideas there. |
