127.0.0.1 -- Am I connecting to myself?

I have noticed three instances where Limewire shows a connection to 127.0.0.1, which is the standard IP address for your own computer. 1) When I try to download a certain file, the file name shows up on my uploads, not my downloads, and says it cannot be found. 2) Once, the same happened with a partial upload at startup. 3) After all connections have been broken and none re-established, eventually, the computer will connect to itself, both ingoing and outgoing (the file sizes etc. are wildly inaccurate, BTW).

Except for the upload I couldn't start, these don't seem to be serious problems. In fact, #3 may be a bug, but it's really a feature until a functional "reconnect" button returns. I can disconnect, and then reconnect as normal. Eventually, of course, Limewire will reconnect on its own, but this has turned out to be a real time saver.

If you do find it to be an annoyance you can add 127.0.0.1 to the list of IPs to ignore.
