Really Annoying!!!

OK, I am Using the latest LimeWire for Mac Classic.
I have Mac OS 9.2.2

A lot of times when I download something, say a program, and I go to run it, all it does is it opens up LimeWire. Sometimes this happens with music. I noticed that a lot of these files are labeled " .dmg "

Can anyone please help me?

Same Problem here.....I have read further in the forums and the programs that they suggest to repair (MP3 Rage) has been updated so that dosen't work on this problem anymore (at least not that I could find)

Any assistance would be nice..

Download Roxio Toast and after you install the app mount the Disk Image.

A .dmg file is a disk image file for X. I don't think Toast can do anything with it in 9.

Roxio Toast? You mean use it to burn the file? ...
I don't know.
I have been wanting to download OS X for ever and all the files are blanks.
When I bought my mac it had 32 MB. The store had promised me 128mb.
So i took it back and got them to upgrade and the best they can do was a 64 stick wich brought it to 96mb.
So I bought mac 9 and it worked fine.
Recently I upgraded and put in a 256 stick, plus 32 that it had, and it only read 160mb.

Anyway, getting to my point. I spent $99 on OS 9 and if I buy OS X I feel like I just wasted $99.

Anyway, I will keep trying.

If you keep getting sent back to limewire when you try to open/play files, try unstuffing the files first...
