I can't download anything either!

I just started using limewire yesterday, and have tried downloading dozens of files. I get constant "requery sent--waiting..." messages, and 0% progress. It doesn't matter what kind of file--mp3s, .sit, whatever. I've been trying for 2 days now! What's going on??? Can someone help me out?
