Default Can't install Final Cut Pro, "missing system file ID"

I am using a G3 with Mac OS X. When I try to install Final Cut Pro, I get the message, "System file ID either missing or invalid, can't install" What does this mean and how can I correct this problem? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated
