![]() after downloading several apps as .dmg files, i' drag them over the Disk Copy icon and i get an error message that says "The Mount Image operation did not complete (-8816). The file does not have a recognized file type" (these .dmg files when clicked on in the finder, open up into limewire, hence nothing happens.) thanks for any help |

![]() If you're using OS9 or earlier, .dmg files will be of no use to you as they usually contain OSX software. If you still want to be able to mount them, make sure you have the latest version of Disk Copy (this version is included with OS9). If the file still won't mount in OSX or OS<X with DC6.3.3, then it's probably corrupted - many files on Gnutella are. Last edited by MacTerminator; September 11th, 2002 at 03:27 PM. |
