Question "Disk Not Found"

New to LImewire, my first downloaded program files do not appear in the Library - only as files in my designated download file on my desktop and they don't open: "Disk Not Found". So, since the Limewire program states that the file 100% downloaded and when I tried to redownload it, I was asked if I wanted to overwrite the previous download, what am I missing here? How do I access downloaded files?
