If you can solve this, you are a genius

I keep getting this error. I've been trying to run LimeWire for months and with each new release, the same thing happens. I've installed new versions of MacOS, increased my RAM allocation, reinstalled MRJ 2.2.5 and nothing has worked. Anyone have any ideas?

Weird, - although it shouldn't surprise me, if you are using apple's lame excuse for a java runtime environment. The setModal(boolean) method, your MRJ obviously does not know should work, since it does seem to know the java.awt.Dialog class.

Unfortunately there is no workaround - apart from modifying the source or copying a limewire.props file (from a someone successfully running LimeWire on MacOS).

By I have my doubts that LimeWire will run, - no matter what you do.

I am using Mac OS 9.2.2 and LimeWire works absolutely flawlessly for me. The "sad excuse" for Java support does not affect me at all.

What is probably happening is an OS issue, go to the Apple website www.apple.com and download the OS 9.2.2 updates and you should also get the latest version of Carbonlib and MRJ. All the updates are on their site on the Software Updates area. Just search and find them.

Some files though such as AVI and .exe will not work on the Mac, but all MP3 files, OGG, Jpg and other files will. By far LimeWire has the best Mac support for filesharing.

Yea. Most Definitely upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2.2. I running LimeWire v2.6.3 without a hitch.
