Question someone please help...

how do I know if the file I'm downloading is mac file and not windows file. I run osX, and if the file is with .zip let's say, how can I tell the difference?

A .sit file is usually a Mac file (Stuffit archive).

A .zip file is usually a Windows file (Zip archive).

None that I know of. That's a risk of p2p filesharing; especially software programs.
