vcd have green picture
 

im using mac osx and toast made vcd but when playing in dvd player sound is fine but picture is distorted - little squares, green, can see outline in background.
am i doing something wrong.

plays fine on quicktime, i converted from avi to movie using divx dr.

sorry i am a novice so it is trail and error at the moment.

i would say that the vcd format is not the one your player plays,
you might use another program to convert the video file to avi
or use a burning program which does the conversion for you.

Sorry I dont have an answer for you, but a question. On your post you said you converted an avi file with divx doctor, i have a divx program for fixing avi files called DivX Tool 1.2 but I dont know how to convert or fix the files, is this the same program that you use, if not could you tell me where to get from and how to use it.
I am new to all this sort of thing and just need a little bit of help.
Anything would be GR8.
