Mac DVD player
 

Are there any known conflicts with LimeWire and the DVD player supplied with a Mac G3? Since I started using LimeWire a couple of months ago, I can't launch my DVD player. Error message says the hardware can't be found, yet it shows up on the system profiler.

I've spent hours with Apple and on my own with no luck.

Perhaps similar:
The CD player on my iMac will not be recognized and will not open after certain types of crashes or some other factor. Restarting won't fix the problem but shutting down and powering up will get the CD drive working again. You may want to try a shut down and then turning your computer on again.
