LimeWire Pro Version 2.7.11

I recently downloaded LimeWire Pro Version 2.7.11 and noticed that there was a new option for Macintosh called "Macintosh (NoVM)" that was only 2.1 MB in size. I am currently using an iMac (Graphite) and would be interested to know if this is applicable to my machine since I just downloaded the 9.1 MB Macintosh file. Does anyone know what the term "NoVM" means and what would happen if I used it instead of the longer 9.1 MB download file?

If you already have Macintosh Runtime for Java (MRJ) on your computer, then you should download the "No VM" version. The other installer is larger because it includes Java. I think that by having OS 9.1 then you already have Java.

Just for your info, there seems to be a problem with the 2.7.11 installer. Not sure about the Pro version, but there have been alot of posts about this new version not working.

If you have a problem, do a search of the LimeWire forum for "older versions of LimeWire". 2.7.9 seemed to work ok for most.

Thank you Julie!!
Yes, I do have MRJ 2.2.5... I will heed your advice about v2.7.11
Thanks
