Post Mac OS 9.1/Lime Wire problem

I am using a Beige G3 desktop running OS 9.1. When I try to run Lime Wire a halt occurs and I am presented with the following:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalLookAndFeel: method setCurrentTheme(Ljavax/swing/plaf/metal/MetalTheme V not found
at a.a.a.c.hm.(hm.java:18)
at a.a.a.c.cn.main(cn.java:31)

at com.apple.mrj.JManager.JMStaticMethodDispatcher.ru n(JMAWTContextImpl.java)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java)

I have MRJ 2.2.4 installed and have tried un-installing and re-installing with the same result.

I downloaded FURI, but haven't been able to figure out how to run it. Only 2 files show up in a folder, FURI.jar and a readme. The readme indicates that FURI.jar should be placed in the java classpath. Not sure how to do that.

Try trashing limewire preferences. (.limewire) it seems to work for me. I use OS 9.1, too.

Default .limewire preferences

when you say delete .limewire preferences do you mean the whole folder .limewire? or and of the following:
.limewire
Display.props
fileurns.cache
gnutella.net
limewire.props?
that are located in the folder?
