I just installed the latest version for my mac running os 9.2. I was able to successfully download about 10 files. Now I'm getting this disconnect error message when I have a cable modem. I read there's a solution for PC users but what about macs? Is it my ISP that's creating this fiasco? (I know others have asked this--sorry. I can't find any responses, though.) thanks.

I'm running 9.2.2 with a modem also. Sometimes I get the same error message. In my case it's a problem with the phonelines and sometimes I get disconnected for what appears to be no reason at all. Probably noise on the old phone line and it's ancient connections at some punch block somewhere. If that's the case the only thing you can do is make sure all of your phone wiring is in top order to make sure the problem is not self inflicted. At my home I replaced the wire from my modem to the phone jack and was able to increase my connection speed and decrease the disconnects. Maybe consider DSL or Cable. Good Luck!
