This sounds funny simply because your files move automatically to iTunes. I have to import them using "Add File To Library," how did you get yours to do it automatically, and what OS and LW versions are you running?

So ... Chappie, your LW tunes remain in the LW "Shared" directory, but you set iTunes to open them; that makes sense (but you may find, as i did, that the files piling up in LW confuse you - do i have this one in iTunes yet or not?)

Because iTunes' player is so much more capable, i delete each mp3 from LW's "Shared" as soon as it's transferred into iTunes' - and share the iTunes library as well as LW's, so everyone can still get access to the tunes. Is anyone else doing this? Note you must be careful to share just the directories you want to share...

One more obs: it could be coincidental, but I note people getting faster DL times from my iTunes directory than from the LW "Shared"! This is on a G4 500 DP with X 10.2.3 and LW 2.8.5, over 768/384 ADSL.

How did you set up iTunes to become shared?
