frequent and unavoidable crashes

Every time that I run Limewire and select either any scroll menu or the finder on the desktop to select another application, Limewire crashes out with a type 2 error.

The only way that I have been able to avoid the problem is if I minimise Limewire and click on the actual desk top without touching any of the top scroll menus. Any one come across this before, and is there a solution?

I am running LW 2.8.5 on mac OS 9.1

Same thing happens to me...are you using an iBook?

You need to disable your "Fax STF" extensions (not sure which of the letters should be capitalized). This is what causes the crashing when clicking the menu bar. Basically, just go to your extensions and disable anything with "fax" and/or "stf".

I use "floating" application menu to avoid the problem.
