What do i do with a LimeWire Document?

I'm new to all this so please bear with me and my ignorance, :o ......
I've been downloading some appz and after lots of efforts i receive the files, usually .sit for unstuffit 'em however it sez they are LimeWire documents.
Can't unstuffit 'em no nothing , nothing at all !:confused:
What should i do ?
Please gimme a hand here , i've been looking all over the FAQ's and there's nothing about LimeWire documents or files.........:confused:

Thanx a lot in advance:( :)

sit=stuffit

Try dragging them to the suffit or stuffit expander icon and drop it. Or open either of those apps, then use open command, now find those files. Works on any true sit files. Depending on your os, with both 9and10 you can keep these files from appearing as limewire documents by changing a few settings. It's more than I want to get into without firing up some software, so I'll leave it there.

Thanx man !

Indeed , dropin 'em to the StufffIt application's icon converts the Lime Wire document to the well know .sit icon .
That's all , thanx a lot :) :) :)

limewire documents

Have experienced same as "Tycoon" in Jan 2003. Expander does give me a sit file--a StuffIt archive that contains another Limewire document. Double clicking it or dropping it on Expander produces another identical sit file--a StuffIt archive. Same thing happens if I open the applications and try to open the Limewire doc. Does it mean the download was buggy or corrupt? I've spent countless hours downloading files that do this--had to trash 'em all and retry. Retry sometimes works, sometimes not. I hate that!

Hello!

First upgrade to latest version of Stuffit!

Then whenever you encounter a LW document file do the following:

Drag the file out of the Shared foler to the desktop.
If it is missing the .sit extension then add it manually.

Now drop the file ontop of the Stuffit Expander alias icon on the desktop and it should expand the file if not then it was not a genuine file or it was corrupted and the Shrinkwrap engine could not handle it.
