Everytime i download a mp3....i usually go to the library and click on the song to hear it. But for some reason I when I click on the mp3 it doesnt work!!!
Can somebody please help me with this problem!!

you may try to open that file from your windows explorer.
to do that, simply look where the shared folder of limewire
is and browser there with explorer.
then double click that mp3 file to open your default media player.
if you still hear nothing, then the file is corrupt.

Psssssst... Paradog.... This is the Mac forum :D

Anyway, basically the same answer. Go to your Shared Folder on your Hard Drive or your Saving folder (wherever your downloads go). Double-click on an .mp3 and if it doesn't play, then Paradog is right. Probably corrupt. What player do you use? QuickTime? iTunes?

dammit
i just jumped from "show new threads" to this one so I
didn't really know... well, at least this is LimeWire LOL

Yes, at least you got the LimeWire part right! ;)

Just don't let it happen again!! :D :p :D

THANK U!

HI! thanks for helping me out!
i use itunes quick time and real player.
but the problem is the new downloads i do dl right now...none of them works!
so does that mean all the files are corrupt?
im gonna check my share folder and see right now!
thanks so much for your help. cause i re-downloaded limewire thinking i did something wrong with limewire but im going to check right now THANKS AGAIN!

I doubt that they are all corrupt.

What exactly happens when you try to open them?

Does any kind of error message come up?

Does nothing happen?

Do they open LimeWire?

Make sure you don't try to open them from within LimeWire (the Library). Go to your Shared Folder on your Hard Drive and open them there. Then post back what happens. It may be that you just need to assign one player to playback all mp3's. Something may have been messed up in your File Exchange (Mac Control Panel).

Also, look in LimeWire (Tools menu, choose Options) Make sure that you don't have it set for LimeWire to be the default player. I think that's where that option is.

Let me know.
