Realplayer overriding Quicktime!! Help! I'm using Limerwire Basic for mp3's and have run into a little problem. My mp3 downloads used to show up as Quicktime files but now, for some reason, any new download is automatically encoded as a Realplayer file. I never altered the preferences for Realplayer to do this. And adjusting the MIME settings in Quicktime to exclusively play mp3's hasn't changed anything. I've trashed every Realplayer file in my mac (hoping to erase any pref files), but nothings changed. How can I get Limewire to encode mp3's into Quicktime again? Thanks PS: I have MAC OS 8.6 |
Use the File Exchange Control Panel to set .mp3's back to Quicktime |
I had just the same same problem with RealPlayer taking over all my files even after I deleted it  What I did was delete Quicktime Player then download and install it again |
