2.9.8 RAM gobbler I'm running OS 9.2.2. I like to keep Limewire running in the background but since updating to 2.9.8 it keeps increasing it's RAM allotment until it begins to slow my computer down. I quit it and launch again. It starts out at about 50mb, in about 4 to 6 days it has engorged to 140mb. WTF? Is there a way to limit it? |
There is no way to limit the RAM. There are no big memory leaks I know of, but for example if you don't clear completed uploads/downloads automatically, if you do lot's of searches etc. it's to be expected. Maybe there's also a problem with the Java's garbage collector on MacOS. |
