I have answered in several threads with the same question, so please use the search function before posting next time.

Anyway, what you need to do is got to preferences->sharing in LW and check which folder is your 'shared' folder. Navigate to that folder and put all the music that you want in your iTunes library inside a new folder. Now open iTunes and select file->add to library. Now choose the folder with all your mp3's and you're good to go.

Try making a shortcut (alias) of the shared folder on your desktop. Then open iTunes file->add to library, and select the shortcut.

Yeah, I just called my boss and quit my job. Oh I forgot I don't have a job.

Anyways, by now you should have located your shared folder right? go to the folder that contains your shared folder and highlight your shared folder. from the file menu select 'create alias' or 'create shortcut', or whatever it's called (I have the OS in Norwegian so, I'm not sure) Then you should have a folder called 'shared alias' with a little arrow in the right bottom corner.

Place that folder (the alias) on your desktop and add it to library using iTunes.

If you still don't get it please ask again. I'm just sitting here with nothing to do anyway.

still no luck....do i need limewire PRO to do this?

when i am highlighting the shared folder, the toolbar shows only the Apple logo and Help...selecting either disonnects Limewire.

the toolbar that is displayed as part of the Limewire window gives these options....File, Navigation, Resources, Tools and Help....but this File option leads to a drop-down that gives no hints as to how to save to desktop, make a shortcut or anything like that....any ideas?

i guess Norwegians are nicer about helping strangers than the average cybernaut...but you dont seem to have an accent....thanks again

I think you misunderstood me a bit. I don't mean your shared folder in LW. I mean where your shared folder is located on your hard drive.

In limewire's preferences (tools->options) go to the sharing tab. There ut should say where your shared folder is located (on your hard drive) For example: Macintosh HD/System folder/preferences/shared (not necessarily that exact path)

Now you know where all your mp3's are on your hard drive, so you can either just add to library in iTunes, and open the path where your shared folder is located (something like Macintosh HD/System folder/preferences/shared), or you can create an alias of your shared folder on the desktop. Not in LW, but in the finder. Then add to library.

Sorry I can't give you any screenshots right now, since I'm sitting on a windows machine, and LW for windows is full of spyware. Hope this is understandable

And no you do not need LW pro. The only difference between the free edition and pro edition is NOTHING, you only pay for LW pro to support the developers of LW.
