Ad at the top of this forum page

I don't know if you see the same ad I do- up there on top. There is a box with some rotating text ads by Google. Blue border on the bottom. Reload a few time and see if it comes up. Says something about Limewire downlaods.

Anyway, the ad is for this place:

http://www.mp3downloadhq.com/index.asp

As near as I can tell, those folk want to charge you $1 a month for the privledge of using Limewire or another Gnutella client which you have downloaded from their site and subsequently use to download other things.

O-tay. Did I miss something?

BTW- Do I need to pay for this air or can I just breathe?

Nice catch. They cycle with each new page-- http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=20771 talks about some ads, and the site admin made some changes. I've read of a few people getting surprised by something similar. Maybe post in that forum and the admin could do something.

I filtered out that ad. Let me know if you see any more similar ones.

Here's another fraudulent site

Ok, I am really peeved here. I have been searching forever for a site where I could just listen to music for free (you know, search for artists, titles, etc and then just listen to them without burning them or anything) and for whatever reason, never could find what I was looking for. Finally, I just accepted that I would have to pay for this and for whatever reason, I assumed it would be legal if I did. Anyway, I paid 24.95 for a 2 year "subscription" but found that after I downloaded their "software" it wouldn't work. I emailed them and they said it might just be a glitch and sent me a link to your site. I got on your message boards because I was having some complications with YOUR site and found all these threads about people getting scammed. The more I dug around on here, the more people I saw with the same issue. We just paid for something that was already free!! I am so pis*ed off!!!! I have already emailed this company and told them I am going to report them and my next step is to see if my credit card will issue a refund for my money. I wanted to send a link so others can beware also. Here it is.....ugh....did I mention I'm PIS*ED OFF!!!
