I downloaded limewire for Mac OS Classic and installed it, everything worked fine but i cant Connect!! Why cant i connect when limewire is on?

I have broadband and can surf the internet without any connecting..I have an router but as long as i understand there should be no problem..I just push connect and it blik green for one secound then red again, i have tested everything, can someone help me??
