I've learnt my lessons and looked through old postings and FAQ's but there doesn't seem to be anything current on this problem.. (except mine on os x support)

Limewire is freezing on me regularly... probably about twice every four hours or so, to the point where it needs to be force quit, which is particularly frustrating as it always seems to happen just as files are saving/verifying or about to.. Any ideas?
Mac OS X 10.1.5 running Limewire 3.6.8 with itunes support enabled.. My connection is being networked through a PC running on a Linux OS which has proved unproblematic with any other internet issues

Thanks for any help..

Wish I could help more, but am on 10.2.8. Anyway, I was getting some problems with iTunes support since the new iTunes 4.1 wanted port 3689 also open. So I added that to the firewall and router.

Try disabling the iTunes support for a download or two to see if the problem is in the saving/verification. Another idea would be to look at the "disable ultrapeer" checkbox in the prefs. If your set-up has trouble handling 60-some host connections as an Ultrapeer, that might seem to lock things up.

Just some ideas--hope a user with 10.1.5 might have better ones.

Thanks for posting back Ben--others will be glad to hear what works.

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier, but I just recalled LW 3.6.15 fixed some 10.1.5 problems.

btw, on 10.2.8 repairing permissions is usual too. What do you do on 10.1.5 to repair permissions?
