mpeg playback stops at 30 sec., and "overlaps"

Hi,

I downloaded a 120 meg file. Quicktime, FCP4 and cleaner 6 all show a run time of only 26 seconds, when the real runtime is 75 seconds. Still frames from the missing footage show up at random times.

Can this be fixed on a mac system?
