Thumbs up playing mp3/mpg files on a mac with quicktime 5.0.2

I just figured this out today. To play the file all you have to do is rename the "limewire" document with either .mp3 or .mpg (depending on the kind of file) at the end of the name. This automatically makes it a quicktime document.
