Limewire unexpectedly quits OS9 Limewire unexpectedly quits when I press apple menu in OS 9, to get 'about limewire' Also, related, I am not sure whether I am running a carbonised version or not either, as there appears to be no info in the programme. bye, john |
First post, please be gentle... I find a similar problem with my LimeWire (v3.8.5, Mac OS 9.2.2) but, as far as I can tell, it just disables the whole menu bar. Click anywhere and down it goes... Anyway, as far as I can see, the LimeWire information is all contained in Help>About... menu option in the LimeWire window. |
What''s happening to you is similar to what happened to me then, but slightly different too. weird. I never did get that sorted. The menu/info bar doesn't say which version. Limewire in OSX works fine though. |
A menubar crash in OS 9 used to indicate an extensions conflict (some version of faxSTF was the culprit for a while). A type 1 or 2 error message was often displayed. If you've given 60-90 MB of memory to the LW application via Get Info, then try using your extensions manager to turn off any suspect extensions. (yup--sure is sweet on OSX) |
