Now How Can You Claim To be Faster Than Kazaa

Sorry

I like LimeWire for what it is. But you can't claim to be faster then kazaa in either free or Pro. I been using this for eight months or so and get so frustrated, and can't find a version that will run comfortably. I tried an earlier LW2 and discovered that it wasn't supported, but hey just clicking those buttons was a breeze and seemed something like Kazaa's performance is. So why did you change your "what ever java" to make it hard for us to rum oops sorry run??
I added the # into the LimeWire.lax and it was only fine for short time. And from my frustrastion I'm only glad I haven't paid for your soft"hard"ware.
I have tried a Pro edition and it was impossibe to use. I notice on the 3.8.5 (or what ever edition??( latest anyhow)) that the LimeWire.lax didn't have the place for #
You know what the problem is so why don't you fix it? And you have known for so long. I hate clicking on a download and wait for it to change to the particular download so I can then click the resume or find more sources or launch, then launch takes a good time too.
It's been an hour now, veryfying is at 6%, so i can only FORCE quit LimeWire and take it out of the incomplete folder (why) when it's fasrter the Kazaa (I don't know??)
Why don't you fix this problem before claiming anything?? I will not give up on my Mac and convert to Windogs Kazaa, please don't make me. I'm hoping, pretty please, make LimeWire work like a normal application and let us have something we most definetly deserve to keep the Mac the superior... because there is no way LimeWire is Faster Then Kazaa... I know... I seen all in action :P

P.S don't delete this post, or it will go into other Mac and Windogs Groups

hmmmm. I don't know what you are talking about (# .lax ???? ). One thing is sure java for mac os is very old, buggy (still at 1.1.8) and underperforming. Get os x if you can: it works much better for everything (that includes java -java 1.4.2 is included in Panther 10.3-).
Of course the claim faster than Kazaa is not absolute (it is impossible that it is true in all cases). This is called marketing, and all marketing has to be taken with a BIG grain of salt. However, I think that gnutella now performs faster than kazaa for mp3s.

Bonne chance

BTW what's up with threatening us:confused: It's not like we keep locking posts for no reasons, that's not a good way to introduce you here...

Why would any reasonable person think to delete your post ?

It is polite, reasonable and raises important issues.

Fear not ! ;)

Yes why should we delete it???

Btw there is no other official supported Limewire forum, you can post it on other sides but the developers will never read it...

Sorry, my threat is meaningless, I can't afford the Mafia anymore, yes ok, marketing, but my my issue is the program is all screwed up and need to be fixed. i been involved with MacMessenger3 for MSN and all issues got delt with and the app is a good working order now after a lot of errors, so now LimeWire needs it's act together and I can't help in it, I've tried so many tecniques as i did with MacMessenger which I found answers too, but LimeWire seems the readjustments that people have been screaming for suach a long time, again, sorry, someone needs to speak out and not not just say it doesn't work.... go back to the what ever java style it was is the thing now isn't it????

sorry I'm P*ssed and frustrated

Oh and irritatted

Me just sitting in a little bungalow, lovin my mac, I put my word forward and LimeWire is my issue now and I'm able undate to OSX at present to resolve my LimeWire issue and I don't feel a need to update while OS9 does a lot anyhow as OX is a nice thing but you always go back to OS9 for different features anyhow.
i'm on dialup so i don't expect speed, but I rely on a button to function and operate when I click it, not jump down to the bottom of my download list.
It's 3 hours later, it's 9% of veryfying, hmm,
LimeWire Lax somoene asked, well where have you been? Read the board and you will find a Post about it, so don't laugh at me about it. I just want this program to work like a program should, oh like , click, hoh, look, I can can make this button to search for more or hoh, sh*t hey look, I can verify in seconds, and look, can preview Madonna pashing Britney in a moment, or goto my library and see the uncompleted and click continue and not that it's going to sit there, have a cup of tea, a bong, put the rubbish out, and oh yeah, ok, lets do it, oh no we'll wait a sec, ok now.
That's My issue and probably many oither friends

I agree man limewire downloads slow, connects slows, and even slows down my computer so much i cant do anything else. I found the solution tho go to mac-p2p.com and get poisened it connects you to alot of diffrent peer 2 peer netwoks even kazaa and gnutella. Furthermore it only uses 10% of my comp speed instead of the horrible 80%. I tried pro and its still the same slow thing. Check out my last post about lime wire editted only because i didnt read the rules; This is what i mean by connecting.

I have been trying to download ******* and have gotten 2 out of the three disks. I only need 80kb of the last disk but for 5 days it has been telling me it is either connecting or waiting in line position 1. I share alot and by completing those last kb's i would contribute alot especially becuase i have cable internet. Any ideas?
Imac 600mz G3
1 gig of ram
40 gig hardrive

still waiting, it connects then im back in line. Worse part its only 80kb. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

What's the bet it's a corrupt file. It sounds a bit suspicious to me. There might be other reasons you can't actually connect to this particular file. Just yesterday, I had a file I was dwnlding that was corrupt: it would reach 100% & then resume at 80+ %. It did this over & over until I woke up to it. Is that you need only 80kb to complete or the last file is only 80 kb in size. I'd almost put a wager on the file being corrupt. May I recommend you try to find an alternative source.

I've had similar situations, & yes the file ended up to be corrupt.

As far as other p2p apps go. Well some suit some people's systems better than others. 2 people can have seemingly identical comp systems but one p2p app behaves differently to the other. Yes I've heard raves about kazaa & I've also heard complaints & LW is better. Yes some people might find one suits their system better than LW. My brother swapped over to LW after years of kazaa use & his analysis was that LW was a heap better.

The problem is that all i need is 80kb its a large file and im at 99% only 80kb left. Just 80kb i have cable and with suposed t1 or high people as sources this would be only about 5 seconds or less of connection time. I tried killing download and resuming but that didn't work, iv read many forums and tried all the suggestions. I want to go back to poisened but first i want to download the last 80kb of this file. I feel bad that i bought pro and i cant even download the last 80kb from a list of 24 or more sources.

As other people pointed out, LW being the fastest is all relative as performance can vary greatly depending on computer configurations. I, for one, find that LW can exploit the greater part of my bandwidth (if not all) and thus provide me with super fast downloads. It is indeed CPU-consuming, but aside from my Mac opening and/or running apps a little slower (just a little), I can't really complain about it.
And I also seen both Kazaa and Limewire in action and from what I've seen, LW is far superior.
Now, I know that upgrading to Panther might not economically available to everyone (sure not me, but I saved...), but you can still run Classic through OS X 10.2+, so you don't loose your previous apps and features. I strongly suggest that you do it...
