downloaded program, can't get it to open...help!!
 

to anyone who can help...i just downloaded the program ************** and can't open it. it is currently stored in my 'shared' file under prefs., under system folder. i dragged it out and it wouldn't open. the icon looks more like a microsoft word doc. anyone know how to access this from limewire, or how to pull it into another program to install it. could it be i downloaded a program for pcs? i thought this program worked with both. thanks for any advice you can send my way!!

I can't believe you've mentioned wares on this forum! You're obviously using OSX. I'd check your LW Prefs if I were you to ensue your dwnld location & shared folders have not mysteriously changed since you last set them. As for the icon, well it could ba a pc file. Drag & drop it onto Disk Copy & see what happens. Have a look at this thread for some better answers.
