Old Version?? Hiya, Hope you can shead some light on this for me... I've just installed a "new" version of Limewire because I was prompted to do so. But I have just checked and I'm sure it has uploaded an OLDER version! It has uploaded 4.0.2 and I'm pretty sure the version I had before was 4.0.7 - what happened, and how do I get 4.0.7 back?! I am a Mac user running OS9.2. Any ideas anyone? Cheers The End |
LimeWire 4.0 is the last version we released for Mac Classic, see http://www.limewire.com/english/cont..._discont.shtml for why. Unfortunately, we fixed the upgrade notification on Mac Classic for the 4.0 release, so Classic users see the notice about a newer version. We're going to build a new version for Classic that disables this upgrade prompt. Sorry for the trouble in the meantime. |
$18 Older version indeed... Yeah, an older version indeed! I had 4.0.7 aswell, and now I'm stuck with 4.0.2, which is completely useless, as it developes a 30 second lag, after about 2 minutes of usage. In addition, I paid $18 for it. Kinda annoying... How long 'till this problem is fixed? I can't find the line in the .lax where I'm supposed to fix the JIT problem with the "#" either. Frustration for Xmas - frustration, I tells ya! I sure would like 4.0.7 back... Even with the answer given to this topic already, why the heck is the "newer" version older!? Couldn't you just put 4.0.7 back on there? Toodles, Sou R. |
