when i downloaded LW my itunes dissappeared

I downloaded limewire and downloaded my first song, and as soon as it was done i got an error message saying that LW couldn't located itunes.app. I use that program everyday, so i quickly looking the applications folder to see if it was there, but it was missing. when I clicked on the shortcut in the dock and question mark appeared over the top of the itunes icon because the comp. couldn't find the program. If anyone has any idea of where itunes went....please help me.

P.S. All of the mp3 files are still intact along with the playlists and i have OS X

Can't fathom that one out. Did you repair permissions both before & after you installed LW? Have you searched your HDD for iTunes? Apple & i keys & type in itunes.
