It's just another way of rebuilding your desktop but without restarting your computer. There's various utilities that can do it.

i seriously, find this odd, since i really can't pinpoint the issue, without an internet connection (starting with extensions off) as i said earlier, it'll fire out without problem...but without a connection to the net its useless. tried to minimize my extension use to just internet only. still nothing.

older versions have worked fine....i wonder if i try to use the os X version what would happen? there's some (very few mind you) os x programs that work on os 9 with an updated carbon lib. or maybe if they are still availble, where can i find an older version of LW? see if there's a difference....

anyone know what the creator code is of LW?

here's the link to Micromat's free techtool lite http://www.micromat.com/tt_lite/tt_lite.html

For type and creator codes, see if http://www.frederikseiffert.de/filetype/ will work for you (it runs in either OS 9 or X)

Just drop a LW doc on it, and it should show the codes.

eh i can find the program code

i just wanted one of the programmers to let me know to make sure i have it right, i guess i can just re-download it or something.

i found another thing wrong with this...the un-installer wouldn't run either...so i'm assuming it's an applet issue....and as far as i know i have the most up to date java apps.

cuz i noticed sometimes when i try to use an java based app, to chat and do otherwise, it gives me at least 5 error messages before working.

so i'm just assuming my OS is just outdated or something....

well people, i found i can run LW, in japanese after a fresh desktop rebuilt. which sucks, cuz everytime i try to re open it, it does the same type2 nonsense, and further more, my preferences go to default each time i start up the program, logically from the rebuild i'm guessing.

and does anyone have a link to the 4.0.9 version? the site links it to the 4.0.8 version.

it was cool for awhile, but now i'm getting frustrated with it. again....
