I have a beige MAC Mini Tower G3, running OS 9.2.2 and had been successfully downloading songs off of an older version of Limewire. All of a sudden, I could not connect and the Limewire program would freeze and I had to force quit it. I paid $18.88 for Limewire Pro, and had the same problem. I uninstalled the older program, as well as the Pro version and tried downloading 4.0.9 (3 times) and am still having the same problem. Can someone help? And does anyone think a Geek Squad tech could help me fix this if I paid them to come over.

Try deleting your LW Preferences folder whilst LW is closed. Go to the System Preferences & put it in list mode & .limewire folder should be on top of list when sorted alphabeticaly. Send this to the trash. Then restart LW. See if that helps.

Thanks much for responding. I assumed you also meant to empty the trash as well when dragging the limewire into the trash, which I did (I hope that was right,) but still not working. Thanks for listening.

As suggested in the LW 4.0.9 thread did you update your Java? Also did you rebuild your desktop after installing?
