![]() i have been using limewire for almost a year now .....and now all of a sudden i cannot get conneced. write ontop of the application it states ( disconnected / no files available) ...than i upgradred to limewire pro ///still nothing ...as far as connection i have just 1 bar did the best i could at trouble shooting ... i have a macintosh g4 ..os 9.2.2 ....please help ...by the way i did get a message stating limewire had an internal problem is this true or do i need to do something with my set up ? 1. OS version? (eg: Windows 98)os 9.2.2 mac 2. What firewalls you have? not sure 3. How much ram?768 4. Hard Disk space available?19.5 gigs 5. Connection type? (eg: dialup, broadband, cable, etc.)dsl 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers?westell c90-610030-06 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?home 8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have? (Go to LW's menu Help>About LW...) Will show both LW & Java version. i believe 4.10 not sure about java script that did not tell me enough 9. Who is your ISP provider (Internet Service Provider)? bellsouth / the new att& t 10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there? test worked 11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? If yes, please give details of set up. no 12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user. new problem 13. Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface? no |

![]() Hmmm--I didn't think LW would still offer Pro for OS 9, since they stopped supporting it quite a while ago. The internal problem message can probably be ignored, but restarting your Mac is probably a good idea. The connecttion problem may indicate that you got connected to some bad ultrapeers. The awkward workaround is to use the File->disconnect, then Reconnect menu items, and hope you connect to some better ultrapeers. |
