how can limewire delete stuff off my HD??

i was selecting a shared folder. i then went to delete that folder, thinking i was deleting it off the list of shared folders. nope. limewire deleted it completely off my freaking hard drive. it deleted my folder of 10+ GB of mp3's. how did it do that??? how can i get them back???? do you know how long it took me to download over 1000 mp3's on a dial-up connection and convert my favorite songs from over 300 cd's into mp3's???!!!! how do i get them back? what is the protocol limewire uses for deleting stuff like that???? i didn't know a program was capable of doing that.

were you deleting it from the OS or Limewire

If yuo were deleting it from the OS lime wire cannot do anything. You have to turn off sharing if it is on a network in the get info box [open apple+i] if you want to stop sharing it in limewire just disable it options > sharing
