mac, limewire, aol, and failing to find host

okay, someone has to help me.

i'm on mac 0s9, running aol 5.0, and using limewire 1.7. somehow the limewire, being third part software (and aol hates third part software), keeps making the aol call up those "host failed to respond" messages... and then i get automatically signed off and lose my downloads and yadda yadda.

ideas?????? :confused:
