1 Attachment(s) BTW QuickTime player has the ability to play mp3's. You'll notice that from the PC Exchange control panel. However, within QT's preferences -> MIME settings, you can select which program to open that particular type of file & thus giving the other program preference to opening it. ie: disable QT's mp3 plug-in. And backing that up with disabling it in PC Exchange should you choose to go that far. |
Hi LOTR Thanks for the offer but I've just discovered a way around the prob. When in iTunes, selecting 'add to library' in the file menu enables you to get to the Limewire download in the shared file - by various drilldowns. 'Choosing' the QT track then sends it to the iTunes library where it becomes an iTunes item, or sometimes a link to the orignal. But it plays ok. Works fine now. Geoff H |
