Default cd

ok... first I would appreciate it if someone would let me know if I download this software and then 6 months down the road get a new computer is there any way to transfer the program to that new computer? I have a mac now and may end up getting a pc...will that be a problem? Maybe I should just order the cd... oh wait, I can't friggin figure out how to. When I go to download there is no option to just order the cd...help!! Maybe I'm just stupid but I cannot for the life of me find where to order the cd so if someone out there is nice enough to help me out that would be awesome.

I have a feeling the CD is discontinued.

Best to keep any DMG files, and I THINK you can safely download the "alternative" windows installer, but obviously not open it on a mac. What you would want to do moving from a mac to pc I don't know' but if you save the installers to disc you should be able to transfer them. The CD if available will not have the latet version in 6 months time, and of course the basic version is availaible freeof charge anyway.

thank you so much! now about transferring from say mac to mac... how would I go about doing that? should I mount the old computer and try to drag it into my applications file or is there a different more obvious way that I'm not thinking of?

Mac to mac ... either connect the two with a network cable and you may need to alter a setting or two in system preferences>sharing>services. I am assuming you are talking about OSX on both ... My OS9 knowlege is a little rusty.

Alternatively save to a CD and Move the CD over. I'm not quite sure what you mean about mounting your old computer, but perhaps I have just put it differently

by mounting I meant: you know when computers are networked wirelessly you can connect to any of the other computers in the house from any computer in the house. NE way... I guess I wasn't aware that you can burn program installers to cd. how do you do that anyway? In Itunes or do you just click and drag the program to the cd or what? Thanks for all your help!
