You can always try running LW from another drive. It wouldn't run for me. But it will still use virtual memory from your OS drive. Keep shares below 2,000 also otherwise it also can make Java use up a lot of VM. I found running shares from an external drive slow & unreliable. But perhaps that's just my computer.
