Limewire won't install - broken link

I tried to install Limewire 1.7 and Limewire 1.8 on a Mac OS 9(Portuguese version) and every time I click the "Install" icon the program runs a message that the installer will run but nothing happens. I start seaching for files and found some on my trash can. I tried to drag them to my desktop and run but they only crash. I tried to see the page about installing Limewire on the Applen site but received an error message from ITools. Any clues?
