I have macos 8.5.1 and downloaded the full 10.8 MB limewire with the MRJ included, but when i tried to open it my computer could not find the MRJ,, saying ; "While looking for the MRJ Installer an error occurred. Could not finf File 'MRJ Installer'". I then downloaded the plain limewire and the MRJ separate at the apple website ,, but still no luck. What do I do????

I GOT THE JAV 2.2.5 UPDATE FROM APPLE, THEN CLICKED ON THE INSTALLER ICON, GOT A SMALL CLOCK WINDOW IMAGE, THEN IT WENT AWAY, AND NO LIMEWARE SOFTWARE IS INSTALLED? RUNNING MAC OS 8.6.

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF ANY OTHER MAC PEER FILE SHARING PROGRAMS AVAILABLE, IF WE CAN'T GET LIMEWARE?

I found that the new version of limewire does not like older macos programs. i recommend going to the FAQ section of the forum and go to the site that you can download the older limewire (title: "download older version"). It uses MRJ 2.2.3 instead of 2.2.5 and works.. its a little slow but is the best file sharer for mac that i can find..

version 1.8 is HORRIBLE! after i download i open up Limewire but its all blank- and whenever i click on the 'connection' part of it it suddenly freezes.... version 1.7 was WAY better and i could use it without any problems except for the occasional freeze. Please, for the love of god, improve 1.8!
