error message at application start up

I an getting an error message that reads -

Unable to launch java application.
The main class "com/zerog/lax/LAX" could not be loaded
Either it is not in the classpath or has a static initializer that uses a class not in the class path.

How do I fix this? I thought it had somthing to do with MRJ but it seems to be installed correctly.

Thanks

Yes I'm having the exact same problem. If anyone could illuminate how to fix it, I'd be quite grateful.

Have you guys tried the 1.9 beta installer? If not, it would probably be worth giving it a try. It's available from:

Mac Error when starting Limewire

I've tried 1.8c and 1.9 and always get the following error when I try to execute LimeWire:

Other users have also reported this problem. It's strange, however, that it only seems to be happening in some cases. Did you ever try earlier versions of LimeWire? Can you tell me as much as possible about your system? Are others also experiencing this problem?

Thanks.

Also, you might want to just try downloading the beta again, as I updated the installers a bit yesterday.

Mac error

I have a one-year old iMac. I'm running OS9 (whatever came with the iMac). I haven't ever run LimeWire before, but I used to use Napster alot. I tried the latest Beta version tonight, but still received this error.

Thanks for trying to help me. I'm not java literate and don't understand what this is telling me.
